Balm Me, Baby!

C.O.%20Bigelow%20Rose%20Hydrating%20Gel.jpgAh, winter is fast approaching, which means here comes the cold and the wind. I was just thinking back to the winters I experienced while going to college in upstate New York, and trying to remember how my skin survived them. And I tell you, it was because I discovered some wonderful skin balms that helped heal the windburn, and protect my skin. Here are my current top balm picks.

On the left is Rose Hydrating Gel by C.O. Bigelow. This product has aloe and rose water, and is perfect for not only soothing chapped skin, but protecting it as well. And at $20.00 US, it is worth every penny.

The classic product, shown here at right, is the Everon Face Balm by Weleda. Again, this is a natural product, and is designed to create a barrier between your skin and the harsh elements using beeswax and sweet almond oil. This is certainly a must for a day skiing (or battling the weather in Chicago!). ($13.00 US)

rodial%20glam%20balm.jpg
At left is the most expensive of the lot, Galm Balm by Rodial ($95.00 US). As they say in the bliss website,

We're on high hyphen alert with this clinically-proven, maniacally-multi-tasking, head-to-hand all-in-one miracle balm... fab for frequent travelers. With vitamin C, myrrh extract, shea butter and calendula.

Now, somebody find me a mountain!
