Dude, where's my crown?

It was only Tuesday and the week had been so stressful already. Last night, I popped in Marie Antoinette in the DVD player...even if I couldn't go out and have fun at least I could live vicariously through Kirsten, i mean, la reigne du Versailles.

Sophia Copolla's take on the Marie Antoinette story is genius; some say that its a chick flick disguised as a historical drama but that would be simplifying it too much.

I'm inspired and have found some accessories that I think match the spirit of the film.

Candace Ang's Kilt Pin Earrings has it down pat...what with the French royal insignia (the fleur de lys) and the 1980s-esque mix metal chains.

If Maire Antoinette were alive today I think she'd also go for the Long Cameo Necklace, also by Candace Ang. Don't you just love the modern take on the cameo?
