Fall Jackets for Cool Weather

One of the things I really love about where I live at this time of the year is the warm days and cool nights. Of course, these star filled fall nights require a bit more warmth, and so each year I find myself searching for a new jacket to wear all season. I prefer ones I can layer with sweaters in the winter that won't look like I am the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. [Which, I am embarrassed to say, happened on occasion in college because not a soul taught me how to layer properly. But, I digress.]
Here are my top three picks this year.

I always dig the clothes by Athleta, and when I saw this orange jacket (see photo left) I just knew this would be on my short list. It is structured and colorful, and perfect for a nice warm sweater underneath.
I also found this cream Nuala by Puma Kimono Jacket in wool. This really has an elegance to it that I love (see photo center). This last piece on the right by Kavu a friend of mine in Colorado just bought; it's a bit more sporty, but I love it for daytime excursions and casual evenings. It makes me want to light a campfire and roast some marshmallows. Or maybe, I should just stick to some hot cider instead.
