Favorite Vancouver Stores, Part One of a Three

This is the first part of a three part series, with the next two parts following in later posts. All reviews & photos are taken by the writer of this article.

After a stop for a weekend in Vancouver, I thought I would share some of my favorite stores that I make sure to stop by whenever I'm in the area for a short amount of time. Because there are so many stores (and some pictures), I decided to make it into a three part series, with reviews & times for you to keep in handy if you're in the Vancouver area -- or if you already live in the area. My first stop in Vancouver and where all my friends would gush about how they have, or at least once, occasionally saw a celebrity, Robson is the equivalent to Toronto's Queen Street. With stores lined up and down the street, Robson is known to have some of the best shopping in Vancouver; although, a lot of the other neighbourhoods in and around the area would say the same. Two of my favorite stores I stopped in which are very STYLISH.CA standard, are Plenty & Aritzia, who, coincidentally, are right across the street from each other!

Although there is an Aritzia in almost every major city in Canada, this is by far the only one that I personally know that has Aritzia as well as an Aritzia Base, which is the (older) sister store of Aritzia and carries mens' wear alongside women's wear. It's clothes range of a more sophisticated and older feel than Aritzia, which is more aimed toward the younger generation. Visit aritzia.com for more information.

PLENTY

A chain already in its home, Plenty has been kept alive with men & women alike. It has a lot of independent brands to offer, alongside mainstream brands as well. The staff that I met at the Robson location were nothing but so amazingly sweet and educated with the brands that they carried. I was very impressed at the enthusiasm of customer service that they offered, along with the sales that they had! Having the opportunity to score a pair of $10 designer jeans that are regularly $100+ dollars in the 50% off section they have on their second floor was definitely something I was surprised to find --- making this person definitely making sure to come back. They always have great sales going on as well, according to one of their associates at the counter. I recommend going to this store not only because of the sales, but because of the great customer service they offer. Check 'em out at getplenty.com
