Fendi: Ni hao, Great Wall

When the folks at Fendi said "nothing is impossible", they really meant it.

Last Friday, Fendi and designer Karl Lagerfeld staged a massive fashion show- 88 models on an 80 meter long runway- atop the Great Wall of China. According to Women's Wear Daily, "actresses Ziyi Zhang, Kate Bosworth and Thandie Newton joined LVMH brass, Beijing power players, Hong Kong and New York socialites and an army of press for an extravaganza said to have cost upward of $10 million."

Looking at the photos alone left me gaping at the scale of this fashion show. I've been to this section of the Great Wall myself (its about an hour from Beijing), and it was already so beautiful- a hundred tourists crawling about and all. Imagine what it must have been like at sunset, bedecked in Fendi regalia.
