Flaunting Flora and Fauna

Flowers are often too wishy-washy for fashion. I know you’d sooner see flowers on your aunt’s apron than on a ramp model. Personally, I love flowers and other whimsical images because they remind me of all things carefree…a relaxing Sunday morning or a walk through the park. That’s why I salute designers who are able to incorporate them into their creations.

Often bedecked in crystals or plain colored, leather covers, an iPod in this casing from Australian brand Mozi is beautifully set apart from the rest. Camilla and Olivia Tipper, the sibling designer duo behind Mozi, have combined style and function once again- the cover is made out of 3mm quality neoprene for impact protection. It’s designed to fit 20gb, 30gb & 60gb iPods, including iPod photo and the video models. Its just too bad they don’t have one for the Nano yet.

They also bring pastel-hued placemats to the table. It’s girly but still manages to be chic…perfect for an afternoon of tea and girl talk with my friends. Those who dread cleaning up (like me!) will be happy to know that they are easy to wash. Dimensions are 29 x 29cm.

The vintage floral design on the ribbons for Mohop shoes are so bold that they seem to draw inspiration from exotic blooms. They can liven up an otherwise plain outfit. My inner designer is giddy at the thought that one could lace them through the loops of the detachable sole and tie them up in a variety of ways! That means you can wear the same shoe with it looking different all the time. According to the Mohop website, the versatile ribbons can also be used as belts, wristlets, and headbands. Now that’s flower power for you!
