For the (June) brides

What do I love about weddings? To be totally honest, the bridal gown. And since June is wedding month, there will be many a gown to ooh and aah (and maybe cringe?) about.

Leading the pack are the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding gowns by couture designer Kirstie Kelley. They're inspired by each Disney princess:

Cinderella- renditioned in silk tulle, duchess satin, and silver threads. What, no glass slipper?

Belle- The most princess-like gown of them all, what with it's voluminous folds of taffeta and lace. I say- forget the wedding, all you need now is a castle and you can play at being a princess.

Sleeping Beauty- Its very simple and I can't see the connection to Sleeping Beauty at all!

Jasmine- The chiffon and satin draping make for a romantic, sensual gown.

What do I think? These gowns are more plain Jane than princess...they seem to have been made for little girls who want to be a princess and a bride simultaneously, not for real women.

I say, shove the fantasy and get yourself a real gown.
