Hello to Spring

The snow is melting, the flowers are blooming, women everywhere are sauntering in the latest Spring 2007 creations. My current personal favorite is the Spring 07 collection of designers Kristina Aquino and Jessica Sturnam for the New York-based label Madison Marcus. Lets take a look at the collection, shall we.

In my opinion, this is the perfect sping dress...light, flirty, and cool to the eye.

Look at that neckline- so simple yet so haute. It made all the difference for this top.

I'm not a fan of baggy, voluminous tops with long-ish skirts but I like how hot colors popularized in the 80s (canary yellow, poppy red, taffy pink...) seem to be making a comeback in 2007.

Jumper tops have long been around, thanks to mod fashion and teen fashionistas from Hong Kong and Japan. I like the detailing on this one- check out the tulip shaped hemline and the large buttons that trail the side instead of the middle. Finally, toss those leggings and tights from 2006 into the bin (or the back of your closet, for when they're trendy again in...2009?) and show off your legs.
