Honey, I shrunk the jacket

juicy%20coutoure%20puff%20sleeve%20jacket.jpg I've been toying with the idea of taking further studies. When I left university, I basked in my new found freedom and laughed at the idea of ever having to wade through heavy textbooks again. However, as one spends way too much time cooped up in office air-conditioning, the prospect of going back to school sounds more and more fun.

Some of the courses I want require qualifying exams and I took one yesterday. Excited, I prepared for it way ahead of time. I don't want to bore you with details of how many hours I clocked in to practise and study, or the books I checked out, so i'll skip over to what I wore. No complaints now, this is a shopping/fashion blog after all :P.

The test area was rumored to be freezing cold. I have no idea why academics like doing that...maybe they think cooler temperatures make people concentrate more? Brining a puffer jacket out now was out of the question (what am I, looney? With the temperatures outside?) so I put layering to good use.

I used a cropped jacked, similar to the Juicy Couture puff sleeve jacket (but cheaper) on top. That, my friends, is the cropped jacket's sole purposes for existing: to keep you warm and to accentuate layering. Wear it alone and the effect isn't sexy or cute...it will look like you have illusions about being smaller than you really are.

So there, appearance-wise, i'm sure my cropped jacket made the grade. I'll find out in 2 weeks if I did as well!
