See you in a few, H.K

I am leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow and I am so excited I cannot sit still! I'm a culture and history buff so its rare that I hit a new country's shopping district first before I properly had my fill of exploring. I think this time its going to be different ;-). I'll best remember my trip to Shanghai and Beijing last December for its old eastern edifices. Hong Kong, on the other hand, will be all about the hunt, baby. Consider how different my two shopping lists are. This is what I brought back from mainland China: a vintage print cheongsam jacket, tea flowers that bloom in hot water, a jade dragon-phoenix ball, Mao's little red book, and a baby tiger toy.

Now, here are 3 of the things that are on my H.K shopping list:

Royce chocolates- the most dee-lee-cious chocolates on the face of the earth (and heaven, probably). Its only available in Japan, Hong Kong, and selected shops in Singapore.

The special edition Cathay Pacific bag looks nothing like your typical airline souvenir item. Its not Louis Vuitton or something from the Samsonite Black Label Vintage Collection but it still looks so glam, so jetset. Its no longer available online so i'm going to try my luck and buy it directly from their main office.

Nokia's lovechild with fashion designer Giambattista Valli, the Nokia 7373 Special Edition.

Sometimes I think indulgence will be the end of me ;-) . See you soon, Hong Kong!
