marie%20antoinette%20shoes.jpg I finally got to watch “Marie Antoinette” the other night! There’s a scene there that a friend describes as every girl’s fantasy: Kirsten Dunst as the teenage queen and her pals are relishing champagne, French pastries, and shoes to the frenzied tune of “I Want Candy”. Femmes in the audience (including me) were drooling over the late 18th century footwear. Later on, I found out that no less than Manolo Blahnik designed those shoes for the set. Shoe lust has surfaced so I’m going to blog about the shoes I’m scoping out at the moment.

These suede wedges are my favorite out of Greek designer Sophia Kokosalaki’s line for Nine West. They’re perfect to wear for a corporate holiday party or dinner, especially if you have nice ankles! The suede ribbons with silver tassels will surely draw attention to them.

Black stockings are big this season but, admittedly, I’m finding it difficult to find shoes in my closest that play them up. This is why I must have these adorable, patent peeptoes in shiny red from UrbanOutfitters.com .
