Style from the budoir

Its a shame underwear isn't meant for public viewing.

Especially if it looks like this:

I have a feeling that, in Anthropologie's budoir bralette, one can be in underwear and still feel like she's wearing a fancy gown.

I wonder if it would still be in good taste to wear this under a sheer top...or, at the very least, have the silk ribbons peek out.
