These Spats are Made for Walking

Spats are "stiff fabric covers covering the top of the shoe and extending up the lower part of the leg". Yes, they do sound like a fashion accessory favored by dead royals. And, yes, they are making a comeback in our century. I'm drooling over what they have at Strumpets. I'm a true blue shoe gal and the idea of more accessories to dress up footwear is tantalizing. This is waaay trendier than socks, waaay sexier than stockings.
