Unique Finds for Unique People

There is something fun and satisfying about shopping for items that aren't mass produced, that are handmade, or just limited in production. These are my favorite gifts to give; they seem more personal, and chances are the receiver won't see it on everyone they know. Most of my friends that don't live here in town live in big cities, where everyone tends to buy the same trends from the same stores.

APS.jpg There is this great site called Indie Finds, where I found this great Fortune Cookie necklace, shown right. This site really highlights unique and hard to find items, and then links you to the sites where you can buy them.

m_59066.jpg Another great place to find unique items is the MoMA Museum Store; infact, most museum stores seem to be great places for well designed gifts. Like this pinhole camera, shown left. It is so cool and old-school looking, and teaches kids about 35mm film (yes, remember when your camera used film?) and exposure. So unique! So when in doubt, check out the museum stores online, or near you.
