You know an item has become popular when it is flying off store shelves in a matter of days.

You know it has reached cult status when you have to order in and remain in a wait list for 2 years before getting it. Or if it has spawned imitations available in the black market.

...but you know that this item has become iconic when spoofs have been made.

Shotinthehead's answer to Anya Hindmarch's "I'm not a plastic bag" is £12 - more expensive than Anya's £5. Its probably going to be more available in the market, but really, do we want to spend more for something other than the original? And, boy, the letterings look so tacky.
