Wish I Saw You Too, Jimmy Choo

I just came back from an all too brief holiday in Kuala Lumpur and Penang (Malaysia). I used to go there with a lot of meetings and conferences on the agenda so it was such great fun to finally go back for a v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n, no work involved.

I have to report, however, that I don't have any great shopping finds to show off this time. What I did discover was that luxe fashion designer Jimmy Choo was born in Penang. In fact, he has the title of "Dato' ", which is a Malaysian title bestowed to honor an exemplary person. Yes, I can see it clearly: hundreds of women, shod in Jimmy Choos, dropping into curtsies for the Dato' of fabulous footwear and bags.

So, in honor of this Malaysian designer and sunny Penang, I give you my favorite bag of the moment, the Carissa Silk Satin and Suede Evening Bag from Dato' Jimmy.
